The scriptures cited on this site are intended to inform, and to challenge the serious inquirer to dig ever deeper in studying the Holy Scriptures. As the above scripture admonishes us, we are to go beyond merely hearing someone give sermons that often do not give substantiating scriptures for the case made. The single biggest mistake made by many in the past has been to buy into the saying that "the Old Testament is done away." Nothing could be farther from the truth; those reading this are encouraged to take a look in the "Did You Know" Page of this Site and see for yourselves. Indeed, if we don't know, and don't keep the commandments, we can not expect to be included in the first resurrection. Sin is defined as the breaking of God's Law contained in the Commandments (1 John 3:4 and Romans 4:15). As followers of Christ we must realize that sin (breaking God's Law) leads to sure spiritual death if not repented of (Romans 6:23.
